We used below method to manually install Google Chrome Store Extension for a client who was traveling and the extension he needed was not available in the country due to regional restrictions.
- Download the Google Chrome Extension CRX file on our own PC. There are multiple way to do this, i.e:
- Extract the downloaded CRX file into a folder using 7-ZIP or other archiving utility.
- Transfer the extracted folder to the affected PC.
- In Chrome go to Extensions > Manage Extensions
- Enable Develop Mode
- Click Load unpacked and browse to the above folder.
After completing the above steps the Chrome extensions was installed and working normally.
