VMware Workstation Pro has a feature that I find quite annoying. If you click on the application icon in the Windows taskbar, instead of opening the VMware Workstation app, it displays previews of all your virtual machines that are open in the main application tabs.
I find this completely useless as all the VMs are contained within the same window, so all this does is add an additional unnecessary step to get back to the application.
Luckily it’s super easy to disable this (if you know where to look). Open VMware Workstation, navigate to Edit > Preferences > Workspace and uncheck “Show Aero Peek thumbnails for open tabs“.
